It seems a lot of my creativity is sparked by a need for others or a glimpse of form I see in nature. This potting bench was first envisioned and created from my dear mothers loving of gardening around her outdoor Lanai in Florida. Having bags of soil and tools strewn about sparked an idea in me to create this bench to allow her to pursue her love of gardening at a workable height with an easy ready to get tools and supplies.
Dimensions are 48″ wide x 28″ deep x 38″ high for the bench and 62″ high for the tools. Made from cedar this bench will last years of outdoor use. Additionally, a spar varnish is applied to further protect the bench.
A comfortable bench height to work at for potting your plants includes an inset plastics tray with lid for a ready supply of soil. Down below is a shelf for storing bags of soil or pots and up high are handy pegs for honing your gardening tools.
As with all of our furniture and woodworking, some customizing can be done.
