Description
This custom wooden humidor was sketched out at Christmas time sitting around the kitchen table. The upcoming Florida State Fair has a Fine Furniture competition where woodworkers get to enter their best work. This is sort of an “Art Deco” style box with a clever lid locking mechanism.
Designed as a humidor for function but having an artistic flare afforded me the “Best in Show” class as well as taking 1st place in the Florida State Fare. This box was also written up in the Fine Woodworking magazine for its design and creativity.
Made from Bocote, Birds Eye Maple, Wenge’ and Spanish Cedar. Dimensions are roughly 5″x10″x12″. It can hold 30-50 cigars depending on their sizes. Temperature is regulated by a humidifier inside and monitored with a Hygrometer.
